Rupali Desai was initiated into Kathak by her art-loving family. Rupali has undergone rigourous training in Kathak for 17 years under the able tutelage of Guru Dr. Manjiri Deo, disciple of Late Natraj Gopi Krishna.
A graded artist with Mumbai Doordarshan, Rupali obtained the degree of "Visharad" and later secured the "Nrityalankar" with firt class from Akhil Bhartiya Gandharva Mahavidyala. She is also the recipient of the title "Shringarmani" conferred on her by the Sur Singar Samsad.
As a danseuse who strives for precision and perfection in her art, Rupali is on the constant lookout for opportunities to improvise on her skills. She also continues to undertake meticulous training for "Layakari" from the famous Tabla player Talmani Shri Mukundraj Deo.
She has to her credit many sterling performances in various locations in Maharashtra and all over India. She performed with her Guru Dr.Manjiri Deo in cultural festival & event organized by Maha Bhadrakali association in Mauritius and Reunion.
